Cabinet Refinishing

Cabinet refinishing is commonly the cheapest way to change the look of your cabinets, but in order for this to work correctly, your existing doors, drawers and buildings of the cabinets need to be in good condition. The doors and drawers are removed and all things is sanded down. A new paint or stain is applied to all things and new hardware is typically added to further refresh the look. Also, if you're planning on replacing laminate countertops with a solid outside such as marble or granite, make sure your cupboards are strong sufficient to handle the further weight. If they're not strong enough, you may need to think replacing them, going with a lighter weight countertop, or reinforcing the countertop with ornamental brackets.

If you're going to go with refacing, the doors and drawers will be removed and discarded (ask to see if the wood can be recycled instead of simply thrown away). The cupboards will be measured for new doors and drawers and a veneer will be applied to the frame. Once the new doors and drawers arrive, they'll be attached with new hardware. Cabinet refacing can take longer than simply refinishing since you need to wait for the convention doors and drawers, but once they arrive, the work can be completed in just a few days.

Cupboard Replacement
